Prisma transforms your photos into works of art using the styles of famous artists: Van Gogh, Picasso, Levitan, as well as world famous ornaments and patterns. A unique combination of neural networks and artificial intelligence helps you turn memorable moments into timeless art pieces.

This app has been hugely popular on iOS but the Android version was not launched. You can judge the apps popularity by this that thousands of fake Prisma apps came out on the Google play store to take benefit of the absence of Prisma’s official Android app.  They started invite based beta version 5 days back. And after the success of that beta launch, they have now officially launched the app for all Android users.
Checkout few photos edited using the Prisma app and yes they are the real smartphone photos and not the painted one’s.

Statistically speaking, here are some of the numbers the app has gained since its short span of launch:

  • Over 400 million photos have been ‘prismed’
  • It’s been downloaded over 10.6 million times on iOS alone
  • The are over 1.55 million daily active users
  • Daily downloads maxed out about 700k

Both Android and iOS apps have similar features with 30+ filters. It has option to either take a new photo or choose existing ones from the image gallery. They are already working on the video support and have also demoed it. The rumour is that the company is going to be acquired soon due to its huge popularity.
