However, to use those apps, you need to enable the USB Debugging mode on your device. For that, head to the Settings > Software Information > About Phone. Next, tap on the ‘Build Number’ 7 times on a row to enable the Developer Options.

Once enabled, you need to enable the ‘USB Debugging’ option. After that, give those apps a try, and it should enable USB tethering on your Android device.

2. Using ClockworkMod Tether

Well, rooted Android users were well aware of ClockworkMod. ClockWorkdMod has a USB tethering app that claims to enable the USB tether on a smartphone.

The app works pretty well, but the free version only offers a 14-day trial. After trial, you need to purchase the premium version to use the app.

To use the app, you need to download the desktop client of ClockWorkMod and connect your Android with it. Once connected, it will immediately establish the internet connection on your PC.

3. Other Third-Party App

Well, if the above methods don’t work, then you need to try the FoxFi application. It’s basically the same as ClockworkMod’s USB tether. You need to install a desktop client and connect your Android.

Once connected, it will immediately establish an internet connection. The good thing about FoxFi is that it also offers a few extra options like BlueTooth tether, WiFi Hotspot, etc.
